I came here since 2017/2018. Stumbled on to this pao shop. We started with their vege pao. My gal usually eat home make vege pao and selected shop vege pao. She loves this shop vege pao since young. Then one day we found out the coconut pao also very nice. It’s not like other coconut which is wet. Their coconut is soft and flossy and light . White inside very 古早。 We so now we buy coconut, vege, charsiew , curry. I usually will call them to reserve for me as I buy bulk and not required it to be hot. There is a long period of time I didn’t go on that route. But when I called them today for reservation they still remember me :)
This is one the most authentic homemade pao you can get, they do serve quite a number varieties. I have been buying pao from this operator for more than 8 years.. Obviously they able to maintain the size and taste, as close as they used to be. The texture of the pao is totally different after you peel of the skin, thats where the authentic pao feel comes in. But those who been they regular customer would know the difference. The fillings used to be very generous amount, but now reduced a little. But anyway, still remains as my first choice when comes to pao. And probably their char siu pao is the best I ever had in my life so far. They also serve coffee and some pork braised rice (not sure about the name, i usually order as nasi with kicap pork), some cookies, honey and etc.
Friendly owner and they have the staple options for pau. Price wise reasonable. Homemade pau (you can taste from its texture of the pau) with lots of fillings in it. won’t regret coming here. Do try their fried prawn fritters as well
Happy with the food here. The coffee is blend, otherwise I love the 粽子 here. I'll visit again (photos after my next visit)! ** Second visit ** photos updated ** I think the lor mai gai feels home made, can be a good and bad thing, tastes good. The red bean bao is good, the veggie bao is so-so (in my opinion). ** Third visit ** 2 lor mai gai because they ran out of 粽子
It is located among commercial townshop around residential area, unseen from main road. The ladyboss was very friendly. Typical kopitiam style serving various types of home made pau eg charsiew, big, peanut, lo mai kai, siu mai as well as prawn fritter. Ordered lo mai kai and siu mai. Lo mai kai nice but less gravy compare to conventional. I like the siu mai as meat filling was in right portion with right taste. Definitely a must try if passing by Dengkil!!
First time have been to this hand-made pao shop, located in Dengkil town. Overall not bad, simple yet delicious as it is. Will definitely visit again soon.
